Advanced Home Health Aide

Are you are an experienced CNA looking to expand into Home Health Aide?
Florida Medical Prep offers Advanced Home Health Aide training for CNA’s that have been employed for a minimum of 1000 hours. This 50-hour continuing education course focuses on home health aide responsibilities: personal and rehabilitation nursing care in the home, skills of maintaining a safe home environment, meal planning and preparation, emotional care of the homebound, and home emergency procedures.

Students who successfully complete the course will receive a Certificate of Completion.

HSC 350
Advanced Home Health Aide Course

Prerequisites

HSC 200-Health Science Core, or meet Florida Medical Prep waiver requirements; and HSC 250-Articulated Nursing Assistant, or proof of current certification as a nursing assistant in the state of Florida and employed as a CNA for 1000 hours.

Co-requisites

Proof of current certification of Basic Life Skills for Healthcare Provider (HSC 102); and proof of current HIV/AIDS certification (HSC 120 HIV/AIDS).

50 Clock Hours

6 Theory; 4 Lab Skills.
