Our HistoryKimberly Straube founded Florida Medical Prep in 2003, through management of her elder care management agency known as Kimberly Agency, LLC, located in Seminole, Florida. Specializing in the supervision care of elderly clients through elder law attorneys, Kimberly Agency struggled to find quality Certified Nursing Assistants (C.N.A) that met the standards required by the attorneys. Although Kimberly Agency obtained many qualified individuals, most of them did not have CNA licensure as required through the elder care attorneys. To address the needs and high demand for CNA’s, Kimberly Agency began assisting and preparing qualified applicants to challenge the state exam. This allowed applicants an opportunity to obtain licensure without the length of a 120 hour Certified Nursing Assistant program and begin work immediately.

Because the demand for nursing assistant examination preparation was so overwhelming, Straube dissolved the Kimberly Agency and officially renamed the business to Florida Medical Prep to focus solely on nursing assistant examination preparation courses. In 2006, she later expanded her education facility in Largo, Florida to offer instruction in CPR certifications and Med Tech courses and to accommodate the high demand for expanding class schedules and larger class sizes.
